Welding Engineer

MV Engineering GmbH is located in Germany, Borgschenweg 60 - 68, 47239 Duisburg and is a sister company of the MIND Group based in MIND Park, Kragujevac.

We are experts in rail vehicles, particularly in insulation, bonding, and profile processing. We are also active in aluminum and steel processing (CNC machining and welding) as well as in the field of fire protection solutions.

Over the past few years, our company has continuously developed its structures and, thanks to a strong focus on service and quality, as well as a very positive order situation, has succeeded in increasing the number of employees to currently more than 170 colleagues.

Due to the expansion of our production sector, we are currently looking to fill the following position:

WELDING ENGINEER

Job Purpose:

To ensure proper production preparation in accordance with defined standards, deadlines, and processes for both internal and external production orders, as well as to take professional responsibility for the implementation and supervision of welding processes in compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participation in the certification, implementation and maintaining of welding standards EN ISO 3834, EN 1090, and EN 15085,
• Analysis of projects and contracts from the perspective of welding requirements and relevant standards,
• Development and improvement of welding technologies and monitoring their implementation in production,
• Supervision of welding operations and quality control of welded joints,
• Validation of welding processes and proposing corrective actions in case of deviations,
• Participation in the development of new products and monitoring of first article production and initial batches,
• Analysis of non-conforming products and cooperation with the Quality Department in resolving complaints and improving processes,
• Preparing and maintaining all relevant documentation required by welding standards
• Preparation and updating of technical and technological documentation and cooperation with relevant departments within the company,
• Assigning production orders to external suppliers,
• Review and distribution of technical drawings and revisions,
• Monitoring external production processes up to incoming goods inspection,
• Preparation of production documentation and archiving in ELO,
• Monitoring material availability and delivery deadlines,
• Coordination of materials and tools,
• Participation in cost calculations for offers/quotations.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, technical studies or a related field, or equivalent multi-year experience in similar roles regardless of secondary education,
• IWE/IWT diploma is preferred,
• Knowledge of production preparation and management of external production,
• Experience working with technical drawings, bills of materials, and work plans,
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision) and document management systems (e.g., ELO),
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
