The new sub-1Ghz Wi-Fi technology incorporates the 802.11ah IEEE technology and offers unique advantages for the Industrial IoT market by enabling long range (1 km+) and low-power (multi-year battery life in Wi-Fi devices) connectivity while providing robust connections in challenging Wi-Fi environments with a high-level of Wi-Fi security (WPA3).
The company has co-determined the development of this new technology from the start and has a leading position in the official bodies deciding on all technical aspects of this new standard in Wi-Fi Alliance, the worldwide network of companies that brings the world Wi-Fi® which is by far the most widely used wireless communication technology in the world.
