Area Retail Manager

About the Job

The Area Retail Manager will be responsible for successfully driving sales revenue in our PANDORA stores, whilst building and leading high-performing teams throughout the Serbia market.

To be considered for this position you must have an extensive retail background, having previously managed multiple stores within a leading fashion brand. We are looking for a sales and service-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys working as part of a team.

Additionally, he/she will support the Commercial Director in the strategic management of sales and profitability within local market stores, whilst retaining a customer-centric approach at all times.

Candidate must be located in Belgrade and eligible to drive on territory of Serbia.

The Role & Key responsibilities of the ARM include:

Performance and Standards

  • Successfully drive sales performance to achieve sales targets and store KPIs for the respective market
  • Coach and lead Store Managers and teams to maximize sales & profitability through high standards of operational execution
  • Lead and deliver ‘best in class’ customer experience, brand initiatives and operational standards across all stores creating a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on excellence always aiming to elevate retail standards.
  • Responsible for the effective planning and execution of stores openings and handovers by coordinating support services (e.g. IT, Operations, Training, Marketing, Merchandising, etc.)
  • Coordinate all promotional and sales activities
  • Conduct regular store visits, control aesthetics and order
  • Responsible for inventory control, profit and loss management, and inventory control of the stores to determine optimal stock levels and build figures without overstocking.
  • Ensures implementation of the brand's visual identity, Visual Merchandising (VM) standards and campaigns, and the quality of operational execution in store.
  • Analyze business performance, data and reporting to identify commercial opportunities, implement change and corrective actions where appropriate
  • Ensures that procedures, policies, legal requirements, commercial and ethical policies, are mastered and compliant.

People and Organisation Development:

  • Establish the appropriate organization in line with the operational plan (OP) and international guidelines
  • Recruit, develop, motivate and manage a team to deliver superior performance and results
  • Deliver on the job training to frontline sales teams (way of selling, product knowledge, customer service, visual merchandising, LINK and systems, policies and procedures).
  • Establish a goal oriented selling culture that focuses on relationship selling, building a client base and exceptional service.
  • Monitor performance, provide direction, and take corrective action when needed
  • Develop and invest in talent to create a robust internal talent pipeline and succession plan
  • Contributes to effective teamwork by working collaboratively with all departments of the company.

About You /Professional Qualifications and Experience/ 

We are looking for a motivated team member, who brings along the following background:

  • University degree or equivalent
  • More than 5 years of multi-unit leadership experience preferably in jewellery/luxury goods or comparable retail environment 
  • Experience in overseeing and managing headcount of 70 or more employees
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in English
  • Driving license, active driver
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
