For our client, an international production company, we are searching for an experienced and proactive candidate for the position of: CHIEF ACCOUNTANT, Novi Sad- Ref.No. 8752

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensures the control of data entered into the system in a timely, precise and high-quality manner and signals possible irregularities, and participates in their elimination
• Works in a team and follows corporate policy
• Monitors the legal regulations and changes in that field in connection with the legal regulations that regulate the company's accounting operations, and implements adequate, up-to-date and necessary changes in the system and accounting records in cooperation with developers, also controls the correctness and compliance of the supporting documentation with possible changes in the law
• Controls and monitors the work of accounting clerks
• Controls the posting of manual and automatic orders and their compliance with the company's accounting policy, and legal regulations and standards.
• Controls the gross balance on a daily, monthly and annual basis, notices and corrects any irregularities
• Monitoring the state of accounting analytical cards of suppliers, customers, both domestic and foreign, and participates in their reconciliation and reconciliation if necessary
• Controls the Book of incoming and outgoing invoices, accounts and accounting records for VAT calculation
• Communication with the tax administration and reconciliation of records with the aim of smooth operation of the company
• Knowledge of IAS and IFRS and their application in work
• Monthly and periodic reporting on income and expenses at the company level
• Participates in the preparation of the final account and is responsible for its accuracy and compliance with legal regulations and norms
• In accordance with the goals of the management and with the help of the Financial Controller, work out quantitative and financial plans
• Monthly reporting of quantities (sold, purchased, stock) and customer receivables
• Financial reporting (cash flow reports, balance...)
• Reporting to CFO Europe

Required competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a production company
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• PC literacy – MS Office package, ERP systems
