The Content Engineer role will be responsible for the following duties and activities:
- Understanding and reading documents about content input formats
- Including the ability to understand XSD Schema and DTD Schemas
- Understanding and experience with XML, SGML, and HTML Content sets
- Ability to manage and work with large, compressed input packages including full-text, bibliographical, metadata, and media documents and resources.
- Utilizing modern web-based software solutions to map and document the fields and input types of various content sets into a standard and normalized data model using proprietary and custom tools.
- Manage and leverage modern web-based content management tolls to process, ingest, and export data through various different technology systems and services.
- Provide QA (Quality Assurance), Content Verification, and Testing of content sets as well as web applications leveraging those content sets.
The ideal candidate would be someone with one of the following positions as part of their previous experience: QA Engineer, Content QA Engineer, Content Analyst, Systems Analyst, Content Developer, XSLT Developer, and general Technologists and Engineers. The ideal candidate should also be willing and able to learn XSLT development or ideally has existing experience with some development technologies or XML/XSLT development technologies. Candidates with experience in the Health Industry working with health industry standard datasets like MEDLINE or online resource like PubMed would be a plus.
