We’re looking for a talented and motivated Cybersecurity Consultant to join Cyberhive's dynamic team and contribute to the success of cybersecurity projects.
Role Overview:
As a Cybersecurity Consultant, you’ll work on a variety of exciting projects, assisting clients with everything from vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to the implementation of robust security frameworks and platforms. We’re looking for a generalist with hands-on experience across a broad range of cybersecurity domains, including penetration testing, security information and event management (SIEM), security operations (SOC), identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify potential risks and recommend remediation steps.
- Assist with the design, implementation, and management of security tools and platforms, including SIEM, SOC, and IAM solutions.
- Analyze security logs and incidents, identifying potential threats and recommending appropriate actions.
- Support clients with cloud platform security, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Help organizations establish and maintain a strong security posture through proactive threat detection and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with senior consultants and other team members to deliver high-quality security solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
Ideal Candidate:
You will thrive in this role if you have a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and a willingness to learn and grow in a supportive, collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have:
Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience. Less experience may be acceptable if you demonstrate strong potential and a keen interest in developing your skills.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with one or more of the following areas
- Penetration Testing (ethical hacking)
- Vulnerability Assessments
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Security Operations Centers (SOC)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Cloud security and operations (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Additional Experience (a plus):
- Systems Administration (Linux/Windows)
- Network Administration
- Development experience in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages
Certifications (a plus):
CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to stay current with emerging technologies and threats.
