Role Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in the transition to the Snowflake platform. You will be instrumental in mapping, analyzing, and ensuring the quality and consistency of data migration from various legacy systems. This position demands a keen analytical mind, proficiency in SQL and Python, and a deep understanding of data warehousing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed data analysis to support the mapping of data from legacy platforms to a new Snowflake-based model.
• Collaborate with the Data Architect to define and validate data mapping rules for seamless integration.
• Develop and execute SQL queries for data ETL processes, maintaining integrity and alignment with project objectives.
• Use Python for data preprocessing, cleansing, and automation tasks.
• Participate in testing and validation of data pipelines, identifying discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
• Work with the US-based team to understand existing data solutions and contribute to the migration strategy.
• Engage in continuous improvement of data models and ETL processes based on stakeholder feedback.
• Document business rules, data logic, and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Own data testing and reconciliation efforts, conducting quality assessments and implementing enhancement strategies.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience with SQL and Snowflake data warehousing.
• Proficiency in Python, with experience in R preferred.
• Strong foundation in data warehousing principles, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Capable of performing data quality assurance and validation.
• Exceptional analytical skills, able to transform complex data sets into actionable business strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for articulating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in both team settings and independently.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with data bricks or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS services and DBT.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
• Understanding of the entertainment or ticketing industry is a plus.
