IT Infrastructure Senior Engineer

Primary Duties:

• Support the existing infrastructure platform and provide incident troubleshooting, problem solving and expert resolution
• Assist with implementing new US and Global IT platforms.
• Carry out infrastructure maintenance tasks (i.e. backup and DR drill procedures, etc.).
• Support and perform work on projects and initiatives, as it relates to the Global IT strategy.
• Perform network and server maintenance, which may include working through scheduled weekend maintenance.
• Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications in an effort to improve existing infrastructure.
• Manage the lifecycle of various infrastructure solutions.
• Develop functional and technical documentation, procedures, and operating instructions.
• Ensure all changes to systems are captured by systems change management process.

Ideally, skills and experiences we are looking for:

• Understanding of networking and distributed computing concepts, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT, Routing, Switching and Firewalls, server virtualization, client/server applications, disaster recovery and business continuity
• Management and configuration of Microsoft Servers OS, Virtualization, backups and End user computing environments.
• Knowledge of implementation and support of Cisco based Ethernet networks with Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls, IOS routers and catalyst switches
• Theoretical or practical knowledge implementing security using VPN technologies including IPSec, SSL VPN, and encryption.
• Working knowledge of tools including syslog, SNMP and Wireshark
• Display and keep current knowledge of hardware, software, networking, applications, and systems engineering
• Bachelor’s degree
