IT Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned IT Procurement Specialist to help drive the procurement function at Velsera.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Information Technology this role will be responsible in creating the policies and procedures as well as executing strategies in order to procure IT goods and services, negotiate and maintain vendor relationships, and ensure purchases are compliant to internal company policies. This role will work closely with other vendor review stakeholder such as IT, Security, Quality, Compliance, Finance and Legal, to ensure new and existing vendors meet our strict regulatory requirements. This role will be critical in maintaining IT vendor relationships and supply chains, ensuring assets like laptops are readily on hand and available for deployment by the IT team.

Velsera is a ‘Remote Friendly’ company. The successful candidate for this position could be remote within Serbia.
We are totally flexible, and it is up you you whether you will work remote or from the offices in Belgrade or Novi Sad.

What will you do?

• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to the IT procurement function
• Identify and evaluate potential vendors for the IT function and other business units
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with potential and existing vendors
• Monitor and manage vendor performance to ensure contractual obligations are met
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and resellers
• Manage the procurement lifecycle including quotes, purchase orders, and delivery and renewal of services
• Work closely with the IT department to assist in understanding constraints and requirements for their procurement needs
• Endure compliance with company policies, such as vendor reviews and regulatory requirements
• Develop procurement metrics to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvements

What do you bring to the table?

• At least 5 years of experience in a procurement role
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using O365 and Atlassian products
• Bachelor’s degree or better in Business Administration, Supply Management, or related field
• 1-2 years of managing direct reports
• Knowledge of regulations and best practices across US, Europe, and Asia markets
• Prior experience building a procurement team
