Purpose of the position:
Maintenance engineer shall be responsible for the set-up, preparation, planning, coordination and execution of the Plant Shutdown, Plant periodic / preventative maintenance programs, plant engineering (technical modifications), the spare part management and the technical safety related to the his technical discipline (mechanical).
The maintenance engineer shall deputies the maintenance manager and support the team
leaders as the technical specialist in his area of activities.
DUTIES:
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
- Preparing job safety analyses and safety instructions related to non-recurrent (major shutdown activities and complex modifications) and recurrent maintenance activities (recurrent shutdown, periodic maintenance and safety critical technical activities e.g. switching HT)
- Taking ownership for the identification, preparation, execution and administrative follow-up of statutory safety inspections as well for the other non-statutory controls
- Preparing safety plan, procedures and instructions related the organization of the yearly shutdowns
MAINTENANCE
- The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the development, coordination, execution, follow-up, and reporting of:
- Annual plant shutdowns
- Periodic and preventive maintenance programs
- Technical and statutory inspection programs
- Contract management for maintenance and service contracts
- Ensuring the availability of spare parts
- CAPEX replacement programs for main equipment
- Maintenance procedures and job cards (work preparation) for major annual shutdowns and periodic/preventive maintenance activities
- Planning of annual maintenance activities, including organizing and contracting external services
- Execution of plant modifications and technical improvements
- Management of the technical database
The Maintenance Engineer is also responsible for setting up and managing work orders in the CMMS system for the above-mentioned activities.
QUALITY
- Identification and elaboration of opportunities for improvement within the area of his expertise and responsibilities
- Managing the quality (and availability) of maintenance work instructions and procedures according ISO 9001 requirements
- Managing the recording and intervention reports of executed annual shutdowns, periodic and preventative maintenance and statutory / technical controls
WORK AREA:
- EfW plant (including the Waste acceptance)
- IBA unit
- APCr unit
Qualifications / Requirements
- Master degree or equivalent in Mechanical engineering
- Min 5 years of experience as maintenance engineer or maintenance supervisor in the process industry or industrial maintenance and service industry
- Strong expertise in mechanical engineering: rotating equipment, process equipment, safety procedures, work preparation, piping and valves, hydraulics, rigging etc.
- English language – working level
- Ability to work with MC Office package - excel, power-point
- Professional exam for performing operational / maintenance jobs on facilities for production, transmission and distribution of electricity, ie transport, distribution and storage of natural gas - would be considered as advantage
