DAI is looking for Project Recruiters to join our busy Business Development Team within European Unit. This will be a full-time permanent role based either in our corporate office locations in Apsley (United Kingdom), Ankara (Turkey), Belgrade (Serbia), Brussels (Belgium), Sofia (Bulgaria), Vienna (Austria) as well as in other selected countries with a DAI presence. The main purpose of this position is to contribute to the recruitment process for the identification of candidates for long-term roles on multi-year technical assistance contracts as part of the tender preparation process. The incumbents will work across numerous sectors – governance, social development, education, climate change, energy, environment, amongst others -  to source and secure proposed experts, ensuring full compliance with customer requirements.

Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:

  • Identify potential team leaders, sources of local staff and other key staff members for new business pursuits as early as possible, taking a proactive approach.
  • Follow standard internal procedures to screen and select the best candidates, ensuring compliance with all client employment specifications.
  • Ensure recruiting standards are maintained and business needs are met.
  • Develop long-term relationships with candidates, ensuring their loyalty to DAI Work with Team Managers and Business Development Managers to ensure that experts are appropriately contracted.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience:

 Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline (preferably in Recruitment/HR or International Development) or equivalent working experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong eye for detail.
  • An excellent command of the use of social media and other online platforms as sourcing tools such as LinkedIn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, working with colleagues in multiple locations.
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, recruiting candidates for international development programmes / projects, preferably funded by the EU (EuropeAid) or alternatively by other major bilateral / multilateral donors or IFIs (EIB, EBRD, World Bank, UK FCDO, USAID, GIZ, SIDA, DANIDA, GIZ, etc.).
  • Good knowledge of French or Spanish.
