Your job
- Answering Custom product requests in cooperation with designers
- Handling multiple requests for custom products per day coming from Sales
- Advising sales about best possible solution for customer needs after hearing out what they would like to have
- Checking what is actual application (what is luminary intended to do and in which environment) of requested luminary
- Concept development & design engineering (understanding how components fit together for luminaires and lighting Systems for custom products (modification of existing, standard products);
- Taylor made modification of existing standard-products;
- Feasibility check, verification and approval of existing concepts (concepts from internal/external supplier)
- Securing conformity of product design;
- Technical support and internal expert;
Your profile
- Project leading experience
- Minimum University degree Technical science (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics, basic business knowledge, knowledge of lighting technology, knowledge of products and production possibilities, operational and organizational knowledge
Essential business contact:
- Internal: CPD-Development, R&D, operations / production, controlling, work planning, operation control, laboratory, lighting technology, logistic, product marketing, purchasing, after sales
- External: sales organizations, customers, planners, architects, external producers, suppliers
- Fluent in written and spoken English
