Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that all products meet quality requirements,
- Document and report results, analyze data,
- Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment,
- Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures,
- Monitor overall laboratory management and proper working conditions to provide timely, reliable and accurate quality control data,
- Maintain laboratory documentation,
- Perform internal laboratory audits and analyze possible issues to develop corrective actions to resolve them,
- Communicate with Quality Manager and production service providers personnel about quality control results,
- Conduct retesting of products as needed to support quality investigations,
- Make recommendations for adjusting testing conditions to ensure quality standards are met,
- Responsible for procedures review and training of all lab personnel,
- Ensure that all tests are performed in accordance with procedures and quality standards,
- Assist in developing and updating laboratory procedures,
- Visit on regular basis production service provider laboratories to ensure all measuring requirements are followed,
- Collect all the data generated by the production service provider laboratories and analyze them,
- Solve any issues related to misalignment of quality control methods between different laboratories.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry or any other related major,
- 3+ years as Laboratory Engineer in a production or research environment for chemical industry, advanced materials, polymer or carbon materials manufacturing will be an asset,
- Knowledge of quality management systems ISO 9001 or ISO 17025,
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 standard would be appreciated,
- Excellent communication skills and intercultural relationship,
- Proficient in English and local language,
- MS Office capable,
- Able to work independently and enjoy challenges,
- Hard-worker and proactive to propose new solutions and develop new systems,
- Strong analytical skills,
- Results/details oriented.
