Due to rapid growth Mitto is looking for a talented Network engineer with extensive experience to expand the infrastructure team located in Belgrade. The ideal candidate will be a technical person with working experience in mid to big network environments preferably within an ISP environment. As a Senior Network Engineer, you are a subject matter expert responsible for the availability, stability and security of Mitto’s network infrastructure. This role is integral part of a dynamic and passionate team that is striving to deliver highly available and scalable solutions using both mature and cutting edge technologies.

Your skills

• Multiple years of professional hands-on experience with deployment and support of network devices some of which include routers, switches, firewall and VPN devices
• Being able to work and configure devices from different hardware vendors - Cisco, Juniper and MikroTik and unify the vendor equipment
• In-depth knowledge and experience in configuration of routing protocols (BGP experience is required)
• Hands-on experience and practical knowledge of the following networking and security concepts – STP, VLAN, IPSec, VPN, Load Balancing, QoS, NAT, and the whole TCP/IP stack
• Ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve unexpected incidents in a swift manner
• Very good command of English is required

Nice to have

• Knowledge with telecommunication protocols - SMPP and SS7
• Previous working experience within the telecommunications industry
• Data center setup experience
• Previous work in a multinational environment
• NOC experience

Responsibilities

• Design, planning and implementation of network topologies and security policies
• Implementing disaster recovery policies and ensuring constant network uptime
• Creation of procedures and documentation for the company’s infrastructure network operations
• Be a key role and a focal contact for network related improvements, incidents and requests
• Design and implement security policies on the network layer
• Set up and maintain security devices
• Design, plan, implement and improve Mitto’s networking topology
• Create, implement and administer procedures of devices deployment of new connections with customers and vendors
• Monitoring of networking equipment and traffic
