Adecco is looking for a motivated and competent candidate for the position of HR Manager in Maldives on behalf of our client Aima Construction.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee the human resources function for our construction company, managing a workforce of 2,500+ employees across multiple locations. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with a strong background in handling large-scale workforce operations in the construction industry. The HR Manager will work directly with senior management and play a pivotal role in talent management, performance appraisal, employee relations, and strategic HR planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations for a diverse, global workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across different regions.
  • Implement employee retention programs to reduce attrition.
  • Collaborate with project managers to forecast manpower requirements.
  • Design and implement performance appraisal systems.
  • Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and leadership.
  • Conduct succession planning for critical roles
  • Act as a trusted advisor for employee grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a positive work culture and ensure high employee engagement.
  • Ensure HR policies align with local and international labor laws.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and welfare regulations.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Manage employee benefits, incentives, and salary structures.

Experience and Key Skills:

  • Minimum 10+ years of HR management experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience handling large workforces (2500+ employees) across multiple regions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle critical HR issues with spontaneity and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR software and performance management systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of global HR practices, labor laws, and compliance.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
