What does the Legal Associate do?
The Legal Associate plays a crucial role in delivering extensive legal and administrative support across all entities within the OIP group. Their core responsibility is to safeguard the group’s interests by maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, representing the company in interactions with external parties, and overseeing the management of the company’s legal documentation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience
- In-depth understanding of Serbian legal system and regulations
- Strong communication skills, including public speaking and presentations
- Proven negotiation skills, adaptability, and impartiality
- Outstanding analytical and organizational abilities
- High commitment to maintaining corporate privacy and ensuring the security of confidential information
- Proficiency in English (fluent in speaking, reading and writing)
- Experience in corporate or labor law
- Experience with legal research and writing
- Experience with document management and review
- Experience with client communication and relationship management
- Experience with project management
- Proficiency in the latest versions of Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace Tools
- We offer a comprehensive six-month onboarding and training program based in our office in Belgrade to ensure you feel fully supported and prepared
- After this initial period, the position transitions to a hybrid model, combining remote work with a few in-office days each week for continued collaboration and growth
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements (such as business cooperation, service, technology services, and donation agreements).
- Prepare and manage corporate, labor law, and other key legal documents for the group (including statutes, decisions, terminations, and resolutions).
- Provide daily legal support and guidance to various departments.
- Conduct legal research and ensure the group’s compliance with relevant regulations, both locally and internationally (such as GDPR and local laws).
- Support the establishment and operations of international offices.
- Oversee the group’s insurance policies and maintain relationships with third parties, including banks, state and inspection authorities, law firms, customs, and more.
- Manage legal projects, keep supervisors updated on progress, and ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
- Draft reports to summarize complex legal matters for management.
- Maintain the group’s archive, electronic database, and legal inbox.
- Handle administrative tasks and updates with the Business Registers Agency.
