JOB DUTIES
- Assist with scoping out projects.
- Develop project plan consisting of clean up plan and recurring monthly close plan.
- Train accounting staff.
- Oversee accounting staff.
- Perform quality control review of accounting staffs’ work.
- Answer technical questions coming from the client.
- Prepare and/or oversee complex accounting areas – business combinations, stock-based compensation,
- setting reserves.
- Oversee and interact with client’s external auditors.
- Manage client relationship.
- Manage profitability on client projects.
SKILLS NECESSARY
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Memo writing
- Quickbooks
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of US taxes is a plus but not required
- Managing skills
- Communicating with clients over the phone and via email in English
EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Big 4 experience
- Experience managing accounting department
- Experience working in accounting department as an Accounting Manager, Controller, or Chief Financial
- Officer
- Exceptional Excel skills – vlook up, sumif, and pivote tables
- Recording and reviewing intercompany transactions
- Has a knowledge of using any accounting software – general ledger, AR, AP-Knowledge of Quickbooks Online or Quickbooks desktop software is a plus but not required
- Creating and reviewing consolidations
- Managing bookkeepers and staff accounts
- Performing and reviewing month end reconciliations
- Creating and maintaining monthly cash flows
