Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading a team and providing high-quality accounting and financial services to clients. This role requires strong technical knowledge, experience in team management, and a proactive approach in communication with clients and internal departments. The ideal candidate will also be committed to developing and mentoring team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing accounting processes and supervising the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory reports.
• Processing and posting accounting documents (purchase invoices, accounts receivable invoices, bank statements, construction payment certificates, etc)
• Organizing and optimizing accounting procedures in compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, local accounting regulations).
• Collaborating with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
• Advising clients on accounting and tax matters, identifying opportunities to improve financial reporting and business operations.
• Managing tax calculation and reporting (VAT, corporate income tax, and other obligations) and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
• Reviewing and monitoring the work of the accounting team (team leaders, senior and junior accountants) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Planning and organizing team workflow, allocating resources, and ensuring efficient project execution.
• Leading the professional development of the team by providing mentorship, training, and performance feedback to support career growth.
• Actively participating in business development and identifying new opportunities for providing accounting services and participating in contract negotiations with clients.
• Reporting to management and participating in strategic decision-making related to accounting processes.
• Acting as authorized AML Officer, ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and implementing effective AML procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting and tax regulations, IFRS.
• Experience in the construction industry will be considered an advantage.
• Very good command of English language (both written and oral communication).
• Organization, ability to prioritize work, good communication, responsibility, strong analytical skills.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet).
• Able to manage different ERP systems.
