Job Description:
- Overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including management and supervision of accounting staff
- Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Providing strategic advice to management on accounting matters, as well as laws and regulations affecting the organization and its business in international trade
- Developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts, and monitoring their achievement (budget vs. actual)
- Managing tax filings and maintaining accurate accounting records
- Ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and internal policies
- Coordinating audits and liaising with external auditors and consultants
- Monitoring legislative changes in accounting and taxation, ensuring their implementation and compliance
- Managing professional working relationships with external consultants and advisors
- Pursuing continuous education and professional development in accounting practices and regulations
Qualifications:
- Formal education in accounting, finance, and taxation
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managerial positions in accounting and finance
- Advanced knowledge of the English language
- Thorough understanding of regulations and best practices in accounting, finance, and taxation
- Advanced knowledge of tools for financial planning and analysis, as well as the Microsoft Office package
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, etc.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Analytical and systematic approach to work
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
