2D Artist

The role you will play:

• Collaborate with the Product Lead and Art Director to create illustrations, characters, buildings, environments, and UI elements.
• Ensure assets maintain a cohesive style as determined by the project's stakeholders.
• Ensure that assets adhere to gameplay and technical constraints.

Required qualifications:

• A strong portfolio showcasing 2D art skills and a high level of artistic creativity.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Conceptual Artist or Illustrator.

Required skills:

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to conduct graphic research for characters, props, illustrations, and UI elements.
• Proficiency in creating characters and concept design in a range of different styles.
• Excellent graphic design skills and a strong background in digital painting.
• Strong sense of form, shape, structure, and silhouette.
• Good grasp of human anatomy with an understanding of dynamic and realistic character posing.
• Solid understanding of perspective, lighting, rendering, composition, and color.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to accept criticism and implement feedback effectively.

Bonus points:

• Experience working on published mobile games is a significant advantage.
• Experience using Blender.
• Experience creating 2D animations.
• Experience integrating and animating 2D assets, UI elements, and VFX in Unity.
• Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team player attitude.
• Passion for video games and a broad understanding of video game culture.
