Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in financial analysis and logistics within the commodity trading industry, specifically for IT solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, focusing on enhancing our clients' financial and logistics operations through innovative IT systems. This role demands a deep understanding of both the commodity trading industry and IT project management, ensuring that our solutions meet client requirements and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Requirements Analysis:
• Engage with clients to gather and document business requirements related to financials and logistics within the commodity trading sector.
• Analyze existing financial and logistics processes, identifying pain points and opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications for IT development teams.

• Solution Design & Implementation:
• Collaborate with software developers and IT architects to design and implement systems that address financial and logistics challenges in commodity trading.
• Ensure that proposed IT solutions align with industry best practices and the specific needs of the client's operations.
• Oversee the implementation of financial and logistics modules within larger commodity trading platforms, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Financial & Logistics Systems Optimization:
• Work closely with clients to optimize their use of financial and logistics software, identifying and implementing system enhancements.
• Lead the configuration, customization, and testing of financial and logistics systems to meet client specifications.
• Provide guidance on best practices for managing financial data, cost analysis, supply chain optimization, and risk management within IT systems.
• Project Management & Delivery:
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions on time and within scope.
• Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients to ensure project alignment and transparency.
• Conduct regular project reviews, providing updates to clients and internal stakeholders on progress, risks, and issues.
• Data Analysis & Reporting:
• Utilize advanced data analytics tools to interpret financial and logistics data, providing actionable insights to clients.
• Develop and deliver customized reports and dashboards that offer visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) and system performance.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards within implemented IT solutions.
• Training & Support:
• Provide training to clients and internal teams on the use of financial and logistics IT systems, ensuring effective adoption and usage.
• Offer ongoing support to clients post-implementation, addressing any issues or enhancements needed for their financial and logistics operations.
• Document processes and create user guides for newly implemented systems.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure that all IT solutions comply with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and client-specific policies.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with financial and logistics processes within IT systems, proposing risk management strategies.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CBAP, CFA, PMP) are advantageous.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on IT solutions for financials and logistics in the commodity trading industry.
• Proven experience in delivering successful IT projects within the financial and logistics domains.
• In-depth understanding of commodity trading processes, including trade finance, cost analysis, logistics management, and supply chain optimization.
• Skills:
• Strong technical knowledge of financial and logistics management software, such as ERP systems and specialized trading platforms.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and systems requirements.
• Superior communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language for stakeholders.
