Workforce Adriatic has partnered with Eurospin - a leading international retailer in the food and consumer products industry. With over 1,200 stores and 20,000 employees worldwide, Eurospin is expanding its presence in Eastern Europe and is looking for experienced Buyers to support its market entry and long-term development in Serbia.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a well-established international organization during its start-up phase in Serbia. As part of the core sales & purchasing team, you will be instrumental in building supplier networks, defining assortment frameworks, and securing competitive conditions - laying the foundation for long-term success in a high-growth market.

Job description

• Research, selection and management of fruit and vegetable suppliers, ensuring quality, reliability and price competitiveness
• Negotiation of commercial terms, delivery times and volumes
• Planning and managing orders according to seasonality, demand and point of sale or production requirements
• Monitoring market trends, prices and supply chain dynamics
• Product quality control in collaboration with the quality control department
• Coordination with the logistics team to ensure efficient and punctual distribution
• Analysis of purchasing KPIs (average cost, rotation, waste, margin, etc.)
• Participation in trade fairs and meetings with manufacturers

Position requirements

• University degree – in agriculture, economics or similar field
• At least 3 years' experience in the role of buyer - fruit and vegetable or in related fields (largescale retail trade, distribution, food industry)
• Knowledge of the national and international fruit and vegetable market
• Fluency in English
• Readiness and availability for frequent national and international business travels
