Magna Seating is an innovative leader in the development and manufacture of high quality complete seating systems, seat structure and mechanism solutions as well as foam & trim products for the global automotive industry. Our capabilities range from market and consumer research, full concept development, design and engineering, testing and validation to world-class manufacturing.
Major Responsibilities
- Sourcing management - drive purchasing process from the pre-bidding activities through offer evaluation, approvals and execution
- Reviews requisitions/purchase orders and related documents for completeness, accuracy and compliance to department and company policies; review invoices, resolve disputed pricing
- Follows and fulfills all necessary steps in order to insure materials and service reception within agreed time frame
- Contract Management - negotiate agreements by analyzing supplier quotations and terms, achieve the best global commercial conditions.
- Work intimately with the Stakeholders to help steer the selection to preferred suppliers and utilize this leverage to obtain the most competitive pricing.
- Oversee the purchasing cost savings activities for the assigned market supply groups within the indirect purchasing area, meet defined saving targets and making reports
- Develop and maintain relationship with suppliers; locate new sources of supply
- Perform Supplier Risk, Delivery & Quality performance analysis for indirect suppliers
Qualifications:
- University degree (Business administration/Engineering)
- Experience in purchasing area 2+ years – desirable in automotive industry
- Fluent English knowledge
- Working in SAP would be beneficial
- Independent problem solving and decision making with general direction given on project objectives and broad guidance from department strategy and goals
- Ability to lead processes and deliver the results in agreed time frame / Ability to multitask
