Carrier Sales Representative

Stefan Logistics is looking for a reliable Carrier Sales Representative to join our amazing team! In this role, you will prospect, engage, and close new accounts in cohesion with our transportation/logistics experts. Accounts are maintained and grown through daily communication with carriers while upholding the company’s commitment to service.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with carriers via phone and email to arrange the pick-up and delivery of freight.
- Communicate with drivers via phone and email to ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight.
- Identify any special needs for each load and prioritizing time-sensitive loads.
- Communicate with sales team to deliver status updates on freight.
- Frequently update database to reflect current locations of our customers’ products.
- Negotiate rates with carriers.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and adjust for any issues that affect the on-time delivery of freight.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be able to speak and read English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and learn quickly
- Able to learn functions of company software and technology.
- Prior experience with dispatching in logistics helpful but not necessary.
- Solution-focused mindset with proactive approach to tasks.
- Must be able to work shift hours:
- 2nd Shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-11:00pm
