Chief Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to join our growing team. As a vital part of our finance department, you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of all accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, experience in a B2C environment, and a good understanding of Serbian accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining all Bookkeeping activities (income/invoicing, costs and services, goods in warehouse, fixed assets, bank statements, petty cash, taxes, loans and interests etc.);
• Inventory and material accounting, maintaining documentation of warehouse operations;
• Keeping a register of fixed assets;
• Monthly calculations and administration of social contributions, salaries, travel orders, debts to suppliers and receivables from customers, calculations of tax expenses, sick leave, etc.
• Monthly reconciliation of loans and interests, account payables and accounts receivables.
• Cash management services (e-banking, compilation of payment orders, communication with banks…);
• Keeping an evidence and controls entering transactional data into an accounting system
• Monthly calculation and administration of VAT;
• Regular monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements in accordance with Serbian Law; 
• Calculation and administration of CIT;
• Administration of e-invoicing portal;
• Mandatory reports (National Bank, Statistical Bureau…).
• Communication with banks if necessary;
• Representation services in front of Tax or other state authorities if necessary;
• Keeping tax records, monitoring analytical cards and care of regular settlement of all tax obligations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as Senior or Chief Accountant
• At least 5 years prior experience in Accounting department
• Experience in B2C field
• Experience with selling goods, delivery to Customers through post or courier is plus
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• Knowledge of Serbian accounting and tax legislative
• Working knowledge of English
