As Compliance Officer you would be responsible for business compliance risk management.
IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE WITHIN THIS ROLE:
- Propose and give an expert opinion on the established system for identification and evaluation of existing and potential risks of the compliance of the bank's operations;
Identification of major risks of bank’s business compliance and proposing recommendations for management of these risks - Together with the Compliance Manger, prepare a proposal for the Bank's business Compliance Program with the related methodology;
- Together with the Compliance Manger, prepare and proposes an Annual plan of compliance controls (Compliance Monitoring Plan);
- Perform audits (controls) of compliance of the bank's operations with relevant external and internal regulations according to the approved Program and Annual Plan;
- Perform ad hoc audits (controls) at the request of the Executive Board, Management Board or Audit Committee
- Regularly reports to the Bank's Executive Board, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors on the results of compliance audits (controls) in accordance with the approved Program and Annual Plan, as well as on the basis of ad hoc audits (controls) performed at the request of the bank's competent authorities;
- Monitor changes in laws and other relevant external and internal regulations, provides guidelines and interpretations thereof, informs organizational units about relevant changes in mentioned regulations, organizes meetings to ensure timely harmonization of internal acts with relevant changes in relevant regulations,
- Perform checks of mutual compliance of the bank's internal acts, as well as compliance with applicable relevant regulations,
- Provide advices when preparing responses to client complaints in matters that require an expert opinion from the Compliance Department, especially if the interpretation of certain regulations is necessary (e.g. the Financial Services Consumers Protection Law, Personal Data Protection Law, Law on Payment Services, Financial Services Consumers Protection Law in distance contracts, AML&CFT Law and accompanying by-laws)
- Perform analyses and gives reasoned opinions in the procedures of outsourcing the activities of the Bank to third parties, registration of new/amended products, changes in the Bank's Tariff, etc.
- Respond to requests/objections/remarks of all persons whose personal data the Bank processes,
- Informs and, upon request/need, gives opinions and instructions to other organizational units of the Bank or management regarding legal obligations related to the protection of personal data;
- Take care of internal acts and other documents that regulate the protection of personal data with the aim of their up-to-datedness and timely alignment with the regulations and requirements of the Group (policies, procedures, notices, General Business Terms, Contracts, requirements, etc.)
- Participate in all activities and processes that have or may result in the processing of personal data.
- Prepare and proposes situations in which, in the case of cooperation with third parties, is necessary to conclude a Personal Data Processing Agreement
- providing an opinion, when requested, on the assessment of the impact of processing on the protection of personal data and monitors the action taken according to that assessment;
- Cooperate with the Commissioner in the domain of legal obligations in the area of personal data protection;
- Keep records of personal data processing actions in accordance with the Law and the bank's internal acts;
- Participate in the preparation and organization of trainings related to the protection of personal data,
- Perform other obligations in the field of personal data protection in accordance with the Law and internal acts of the bank.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- University degree in Law
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in banking industry in Compliance function (preferably) or Legal Support
- Function with orientation on alignment of the documentation with relevant Laws and their amendments, as well as application and interpretation of Financial Services Consumers Protection Law, Personal Data Protection Law, Law on Payment Services, etc.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Financial Services Consumers Protection Law, Personal Data Protection Law, Law on Payment Services, Financial Services Consumers Protection Law in distance contracts, AML&CFT Law, NBS regulations and interpretations, as well as other regulations relevant to the Bank's operations.
- Good MS office skills
- Fluency in English, written and spoken
