About You

You're empathetic to users and can easily put yourself in their shoes. You realize that not everyone has the same skill set and that smart people sometimes make mistakes. You make customers feel empowered after interacting with support and not stupid because of a small mistake.

You obsess over the details. Maybe you have a one emoticon and one exclamation point rule of thumb for every email. Maybe it's only two sentences per paragraph. Either way, you make sure each word and each punctuation mark makes the customer delighted to work with you.

You love solving problems. Every customer is different, many times radically so. You relish being able to meet their specific need, and also solving their problems that may have gone unsaid.

You are a skilled written communicator. Reliance Equities Group is a 100% remote team and writing is our primary means of communication. The most of things at Reliance Equities Group is done via written communication (both with customers and between teammates). You must be highly proficient in written and oral English. Knowledge of German language is a bonus.

You're persistent. Support at Reliance Equities Group is much different than at many companies. It's not just the questions about our products, it is working with customer’s feedback, helping them navigate the website and often involves researching technical nuisances of the programs we are working with. You love the opportunity to solve new problems every day and won't give up when you don't know the answer right away.

You love doing things efficiently. At Reliance Equities Group, the work you do will have a disproportionate impact on the business. We believe in systems and processes that let us scale our impact to be larger than ourselves.

You have advanced technical skills. While you may or may not know how to code, you have technical skills to support yourself and team. Your skillset might include: solid background in HTML; excel and word proficiency.

We believe giving the best support to our customers is important. For that reason, we only consider candidates who want to dedicate at least the next year or two to giving great support to Reliance Equities Group customers.

Things You Might Do

Reliance Equities Group is a small team, so you'll likely get experience on many different fields, and you'll likely get your hands dirty in a little bit of everything. That said, here are some things you'll get to lead:

  • Help customers via email or phone or chat to ensure they have the best experience possible (teammates tend to send 60+ emails every day), troubleshooting their problems and answering their questions.
  • Work with the product team to build tools that will speed up and increase the quality of support at the same time
  • Measure and report results of your work
  • Plug the holes: execute on a variety of customer-related tasks yourself to help finish items when the team doesn't have dedicated resources and hiring someone isn't an option;
  • Work as a team member, but maintain also a high level of autonomy
  • As part of our All Hands Support initiative, help customers have the best experience with our products as possible.

If you want to work remote, that's great. Our team of 15+ is distributed around the world because it lets us work with the best people. You don't have to be located in the USA. Our team members live in Serbia, Philippines, some in the US. You just have to be talented!

Compensation

  • Competitive salary (we don't use remote as an excuse to pay less)
  • 10 paid vacation days after one year of full employment (2 weeks)
  • Paid pension after six months of being employed

Must have your equipment (laptop/desktop, headphones etc.), fast and reliable internet connection. We will provide you with whatever software you might need it.
