DBA and Data Processing Engineer
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced DBA and Data Processing Engineer to join our Europe IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and managing Databases all around the Europe Region to ensure optimal performance, security, and user experience. The job holder will be part of all our manufacturing IT processes, working side by side with production stakeholders. You will also be responsible for supporting and configuring the ETL tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and scalable database systems. This role requires a deep understanding of database technologies, performance optimization, and data security practices.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems to support business applications.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and data partitioning.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through regular maintenance and monitoring.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches as needed.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery processes to safeguard data.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various data sources – maintain documentation and provide ETL related support including troubleshooting,
Our requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Ideally 5+ years of experience in database engineering and ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL database technologies (as a plus, also NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle,etc ).
- Proficiency in ETL tools (e.g., mainly Azure Data Factory, but also Talend,etc).
- Strong knowledge about API technology
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Certifications in relevant technologies
- Experience in manufacturing company is a plus
