Data Center Technician

Nevada, Atlanta, Oregon (USA)

We are looking for Data Center Technician with USA visa or USA ID's. Please, don't apply if you don't have USA visa or USA ID's.

Job Description:

• Work in dusty and noisy environment
• Work on the ladder is necessary
• Occasionally work on the roof
• Work with electricity and electric cables may be required. (Using protection gloves)
• Lifting high load up to 80 lbs
• Cleaning facility and parking lot
• Collaboration with team in Serbia using Viber messages is necessary and can be very demanding
• Job is extremely hard and demanding. (let's make sure to point that out) so you don’t complain after
• Any other task per manager request

To do List by Item:

Ethernet Cables

• Each cable has to be labeled
• Each hole on shelf has to have a cable
• Each shelf must have ONE cable for Smart PDUs
• Unused cables have to be sorted and properly stored
• We should have an inventory of cables (how many by length)

Power Cords

• Each hole on shelf has to have a cord (S17 miners have two cords)
• Unused cord have to be sorted and properly stored
• We should have an inventory of cord (how many by length)

Shelves

• All shelves must be clean. We should clean them once a month or more often
• If there is no miner in the back panel hole, it must be plugged with foam

PDUs

• PDUs must be properly attached to shelves
• PDUs must be functional. If breaker burns, request electrician to fix it
• If we keep burning PDU breakers, we must have supply of them

Monthly Supplies

• Must remember to order supplies once a month (if required)
• Printer paper and other office supplies
• Toilet stuff
• Washer stuff
• Scotch, label printer paper, ...

Storage

• All boxes and other things like cables must be stored neatly

Filters

• Must be cleaned or replaced regularly

Miners

• Must be positioned properly on the shelf and in the hole. Must be inspected once a week
• Must be cleaned with air compressor at least once a quarter
• Must have spare parts like fans

Internet Switches

• Must have spare parts. Talk to Serbia network team but must know inventory in DC

NetBox

• Miners, Switches, PDUs MUST be entered into NetBox
• If misplacement of Miner found, MUST be IMMEDIATELY fixed in NetBox

In case of a power outage

• Contact Network team IMMEDIATELY using DC phone
• Must do your best to bring back all miners ASAP, if help needed, second person must come
