Die Shop Extrusion Monitor

Role Description

Support extrusion Die Shop Leader to Coordinate overall governance of activities such as: Extrusion processes including Mixing Trials and all new component development with all auxiliary equipment development. In collaboration with the Extrusion Technical Coordinator/Engineers, and the Extrusion Team, he ensures and drive  the development of the new components and related developments, (Insert, Dies , Splice Bar => eg: Fundamental Knowledge using all relevant drawing software)  and production monitoring and preventive actions and / or resulting corrective actions to ensure that the objectives /kpi’s are achieved.

Main responsibilities:

• Responsible for the maintenance of Extrudability and therefore the properties of Extrusion blends and ensures in collaboration with the Compounders of the mixing process.
• Develops technical instructions for extrusion  correlated mixing and validation of the Mixing Leader and performs all the tests requiring an improvement according to their Processability in the Extrusion sector.
• Manages Extrusion testing for the implementation of new extruder  recipe before approval for production.
• Responsible for the planning of test programs – NPI Die Trial and NPI Tests required with the Flow Team.
  Provides NPI compound availability to ensure the manufacturing program of our
  prototypes in collaboration with the Mixing Leader and the Compounders.
• Ensures updates to extrusion testing specifications to stabilize the Extrusion process of each Die recipe including die and splice bar optimization.
  Responsible for the Milling Waste part of his sector link to de trial. 
• Support CNC Equipment performances – with training of relevant die shop associate.
• Participates in the validation of raw material tests by validating the process of the concerned Compounds (Follow sheet, derogations, instructions hierarchy
• Participates in the Control of Documents in the sense: Iso Ts, CP, PFMEA, SOP, Process and Product Audit 
• Participate in the technical training of the Staff  - Die makers – Extruder Operators

Requirements:

• VI/VII degree of education (Mechanical or Technological Engineering background)
• Work Experience with CNC program languages (Heidenheim/ISO) is desireable 
• Must have experience with measuring equipment 
• Knowledge of industrial mechanics
