Dundee Precious Metals is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals. DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
For the needs of our “Čoka Rakita” Project department in the in the territory of the municipality of Žagubica, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Document Control Specialist position.
Role Purpose:
Manages the entire technical documentation of engineers, project managers and structural engineers in order to ensure document control and compliance with the Company's standards and the uniform engineering practices.
Description of responsibilities:
- Collect and register all technical documents such as memorandums, reports, drawings and blueprints in the company’s system;
- Ensures that all engineering documents are properly checked and submitted on time prior to the documents submission due date;
- Ensures that all documents have no errors in file names/ extensions, submissions, etc, before submitting it to the recipient department/party to avoid confusion;
- Ensures that controlled copies of most recent approved document and drawing versions are delivered to the respective personnel, contractors and suppliers;
- Generates reports of document status;
- Assists with control of document review cycle;
- Assists engineers with document control related issues as required;
- Follows and improving document control procedures;
- Ensures all documentation meets formal requirements and required standards
- Manages the flow of documentation within the project team;
- Maintains confidentiality regarding sensitive documents;
- Prepares ad-hoc reports on projects as needed;
- Develops and maintains the Projects Document Control Register of the department;
- Records and files all documentation between the projects department, contractors, suppliers & Independent construction control consultants;
- Maintains updated records of all approved documents and drawings and distributes them accordingly;
- Maintains the documents and drawings in the Document archive under safe custody without any damage or deterioration with easy traceability;
- Maintains the files and control logs as required by the project procedures.
Requirements:
- High-school or university degree in engineering, economics or administration;
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience;
- Experience working with various file types;
- Experience in operating office photocopying equipment and in processing documents;
- Experience with industrial site operation(s);
- Good English;
- Familiar with capital project phases and basic methods of archiving and documents administration;
- Data organization skills
- Attention to detail;
- Effective communication with coworkers across departments.
