The worldwide leading engineering consulting service provider of customer-specific solutions in a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, automotive & heavy equipment, energy & utilities, appliance manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), electronics, batteries & semiconductors is currently hiring for an opening position in Belgrade or Novi Sad.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of batteries and battery management systems
  • Generate detailed engineering requirements from internal product requirements and applicable regulatory standards
  • Coordinate the peer review process for hardware and software development for battery systems to include all stakeholders
  • Being responsible for the programming/coding work involved in prototype development
  • Design and develop tests for validation, qualification, and manufacturing monitoring of batteries for different use cases (HEV-hybrid electric vehicles, portable power stations, backup power stations, etc.)
  • Provide field support, expert failure analysis, and advise Operations on BMS
  • Contribute technical expertise to, and directly assist in regulatory and compliance efforts, especially in regard to battery management systems
  • Ideate and supervise the appropriate test methods for both prototype and production level hardware
  • Participating in project scoping and planning, by generating ideas in support of existing and further research and making a significant contribution to the technological development

Your Profile

  • You have a degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or equivalent) in electrical engineering or mechatronics with at least 5 years experience
  • Experience designing battery or hybrid products using technologies like safety monitoring ICs, LI-Ion, and other chemistry cells
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical control systems such as PLC, HMI, battery management systems (BMS), microcontroller programming etc
  • Proficiency in circuit design and layout (Altium and EPlan experience highly valued)
  • Demonstrated a high level of initiative, ingenuity, and skills to solve complex technological problems, and independence in identifying and characterizing technological challenges
  • Experience in liaising with clients and leading project teams, including collaborating with and supervising people with varying skills and backgrounds
  • Experience working with prototype construction & electrical systems testing
  • You are a team player with very good communication skills and are proficient in the English language; German or Italian is a plus
