Embedded QA Engineer (Linux)

Place of work: Belgrade

Main Tasks:

• Develop test plans, test cases, and test reports for embedded Linux distributions used in company products (programmable controllers, I/O modules, HMI).
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing of embedded software.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using various frameworks (Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.).
• Analyze system logs, diagnose, and reproduce bugs. 
• Collaborate with developers, embedded systems engineers, and the DevOps team.

Required qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in testing Linux-based software.
• Understanding of embedded systems and embedded software (U-Boot, Linux Kernel).
• Experience in installing, configuring, and administering Linux distributions.
• Knowledge of Linux system administration (bash, system, networks, file systems).
• Programming skills in Python or other languages for writing tests and automation scripts.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Robot Framework, Selenium, Pytest, etc.)
• Knowledge of industrial controllers (PLCs, HMI, programmable relays).
• Understanding of network protocols, including industrial ones (Modbus, OPC UA).
• Familiarity with low-level interfaces and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
• Basic DevOps knowledge: containerization (Docker), configuration management, and deployment automation.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Basic skills in working with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other measuring instruments.
• English – advanced level for working with documentation, writing reports, and communicating with an international team.
