Toyo Tire Corporation was founded in Japan in 1945 and is a producer of tires for passenger vehicles, light trucks, trucks & buses, as well as automobile components. It operates worldwide, including the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, China, Thailand and Malaysia. It has more than 13,000 employees worldwide.
The company was established In Serbia in 2019 and started construction of a plant in 2020, with the planned start of manufacturing in April 2022. The company plans to invest 390 million Euros and employ more than 500 persons by 2023

Toyo Tire Serbia is currently looking for the prospective candidates for the role of Environmental Health and Safety Manager

About the role
Environmental Health and Safety Manager has a critical role of refining, promoting and fostering highest industry health and safety standards for our organisation. In this role, you would:
- Maintain or exceed EHS compliance with country, regional, local and Toyo Tires EHS regulations and requirements
- Articulate the global EHS roadmap / strategy and key EHS&S initiatives and develop, lead and execute plant EHS initiatives
- Support Plant processes to build associate engagement and empowerment in facility EHS&S management and performance improvement; fully support the EHS infrastructure
- Interface with regulators at all levels, local community leaders and groups and other external stakeholders to develop a relationship of trust and transparency and promote the Toyo Tires EHS brand
- Ensure execution and continuous improvement of key EHS initiatives and requirements including but not limited to: ergonomics improvement; behavioral safety (arget Zero); industrial hygiene monitoring/corrective actions; JSA/risk assessment; control of hazardous energy.
- Incident and near-miss reporting, investigation and root cause analysis for constant improvement
About you
To be successful in this role, you would have
- Bachelor's Degree in environmental, safety discipline, engineering or technical science or a related field or an equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing & driving EHS&S programs
- 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years` experience implementing and/or sustaining ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001 or comparable EHS management system
- Demonstrated, measurable track record of improvements in EHS&S performance
- Demonstrated experience in working successfully with stakeholders at all levels
- In-depth knowledge to ensure compliance to local safety and environmental laws and regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and mentality
- Collaborative style and ability to influence
- Valid driving licence
- Fluent English, fluent Serbian
