About the job

As The Financial Operations Associate, you will be part of IODS ‘ BPaaS team in Belgrade office. BPaaS team (Business Process as a Service) is an operational team with a focus on performing a daily review of corporate action events data from multiple vendors/sources with the goal of validating and second sourcing all required data fields per CA event type, using XSP software platform.

What you will be doing:

• Working in different data environments (production and clients’ environments)
• Validation and confirmation of all the important fields related to one Corporate Action
• Search through various electronic sources (e.g., financial web sites, data vendors, offering circulars, prospectuses) to find second source and validate events.
• Analysis of different kind of financial documentation (announcements, prospectus etc.)
• Follow templates, unique for each event, to provide complete event data, with flexibility that not all information is available at that time
• Ensure that the state of each composite record for each CA event becomes both accurate and refined and is ready for approval (via XSP software)
• Follow internal processes and procedures in order to ensure timely export to our clients

What you bring:

Financial Operations Associate position requires Capital Markets industry knowledge, excellent research skills and interpretive abilities in a detailed oriented person with high level time management skills who can work collaboratively and alone under tight deadlines. The position is focused on Data Analysis & Data Scrubbing and requires candidate that uses discretion and judgment to produce the most complete and accurate corporate action event in a timely manner to be used to base investment decisions of our clients. Events covered cross all investment types (equity, fixed) and global Capital Markets knowledge is required.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar
• Basic knowledge of financial instruments and capital markets (main focus on securities- shares, bonds etc).
• English language fluency
• High level of written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently
• NOTE: This is not a position that entails work in development scrum team
