Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented, highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our finance team.
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to assess a company's financial health, identify trends, and make informed recommendations by creating financial models, reports, and presentations, often utilizing data analysis tools to forecast future performance and assist with economic forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making within an organization by connecting senior management's long term “strategic plan” to reality.
Key duties include evaluating financial statements, and vendor reports, researching economic conditions, and collaborating with various departments to understand business operations and potential risks.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and excellent communication abilities.
Key responsibilities:
Data analysis:
- Collecting and analyzing financial data from various sources, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and market trends. Ability to understand vendor reports and convert them into standard data sets for trend analysis, and disbursement calculations for client and sales commissions.
- Financial modeling:
Building and maintaining complex financial models to forecast future revenue, expenses, and profitability. - Valuation analysis:
Assessing the intrinsic value of companies by utilizing various valuation methodologies. - Investment research:
Conducting research on potential investment opportunities, including industry analysis and competitor evaluation. - Reporting and presentation:
Preparing comprehensive financial reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations for senior management. - Trend analysis:
Identifying patterns and trends in financial data to inform strategic decisions.
Budgeting and forecasting: Manage and oversee the annual budgeting, developing and updating financial forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes
Risk assessment: Evaluating potential financial risks and mitigating strategies
Collaboration: Working with different departments within the organization to gather information and understand business operations
Communication: Strong communicator with the ability to translate Operational data into finance and accounting language and vice-versa
Required skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving attitude
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Excel) and other database management software like Tableau and others
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation abilities
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Knowledge of economic and market trends
- Ability to navigate between accounting, finance, and operations
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Education and qualifications:
- Must be available for work from 3.pm till 11.pm, local Serbian time
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) may be preferred
- Experience in financial analysis, healthcare sector, or consulting may be beneficial
- Proficiency in English, Excell, Tableau, QuickBooks, and other Systems experience is a plus
