Job Purpose:
Responsible for the co-ordination and consolidation of all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis
Analytical review and challenge to the business on forecasts and plans submitted
Responsibilities:
- Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecasting process co-ordination to ensure adherence to timelines
- Consolidation and submission of completed forecasts for the total business including detailed analytical review
- Production of summary schedules and KPIs for use in the business
- Preparation of board presentation packs to accompany the forecasts
- Consolidation and input to the internal weekly forecast and the formal fortnightly quarterly outlook for Group
- Delivery of the daily management reports
- Management of monthly ABC reporting on customer and vendor profitability for internal and Group use
- Preparation of model P&Ls for key strategic planning
- Ownership of the executive dashboard
- Co-ordination, management and communication of target setting for bonuses and commissions throughout the business
- Other duties as required from time to time
Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Timely delivery of quarterly forecast process and all internal reporting
- Accurate forecasts and detailed understanding of the consolidated figures
- Proactive working relationships with the Commercial Controllers to ensure coordinated approach to forecast processes
- Basic knowledge of accounting
- Previous Finance department experience in medium/large business (>£50m T/O) or audit experience
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong Excel experience
- Knowledge of SAP, IBM Cognos and Board is a big advantage
- Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment
