American company hiring work-from-home Freight Booker Specialist Entry or Senior Level in Serbia!

As Freight Booker Specialist, A Freight Booker Specialist is a remote role responsible for planning, routing, and booking freight for import, export, and third-country shipments.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, route & book freight for import, export & 3rd country shipments.
  • Collaborate and communicate with overseas and domestic agents and vendors as needed.
  • Process documentation including bookings, BL, AWBs, customs compliance paperwork, etc.
  • Self-management of assignment of assigned workload, assumes responsibility for individual and team goals.
  • Utilizing Microsoft, in-house freight platform and outside vendor (SSLs, airlines, truckers, etc.) portals effectively.
  • Assist and support management with various projects as needed.
  • Produce strong written documents to promptly and timely follow up on assigned shipments and workload.
  • Pass and maintain dangerous goods/hazardous certificate and training.

Qualifications: 

  • Freight booking or coordinating experience and/or strong management experience (OPTIONAL FOR ENTRY LEVEL).
  • A background/performance history of meeting rigid deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office suite application skills.
  • Capable of learning in-house shipment tracking and receiving digital platform as well as outside vendor portals.
  • Ability to pass and maintain industry certificates such as dangerous goods, TSA Security Threat assessment, etc. (OPTIONAL FOR ENTRY LEVEL).
  • A commitment to success of their team and contribute to collective impact.
  • Problem-solving skills allowing them to identify issues and generate actionable recommendations and/or solutions.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal demonstrating that they can build connections and maintain relationships.
  • Positive attitude, someone who treats others with dignity and generosity of spirit.
  • Prior experience in GSA or USG impelled cargo is a plus but not required (OPTIONAL FOR ENTRY LEVEL).
