Geological Investigation Engineers

The PCCC (Power Construction Corporation of China) is in need of geological Investigation Engineers for the metro line project in Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia. To ensure the design project of Belgrade Metro Line 1 moves forward successfully, the daily tasks of this person include, but not limited to:

• Provide guidance and support to engineers and subcontractors of the company to ensure they are well-acquainted with local laws, regulations, and standards.
• Participate in discussions and decision-making regarding geological investigation plans and design plans.
• Supervise subcontractors' on-site work and verify whether the investigation is carried out in accordance with the MS (Method Statement) documents.
• Verify the work content and quantities in the subcontractor’s daily work report, and sign the subcontractor’s construction diary as the supervisor.
• As the responsible engineer, prepare the construction diary for the PCH scope and submit it daily for review in accordance with the requirements of the PMC team.
• Double check design technical reviews from Geo-investigation sub-cons.
• Sign off on Geo-investigation deliverables as the responsible designer;
• Promptly report on-site issues to the project team and supervise the subcontractor to carry out corrections in accordance with the project team's rectification instructions.
• Coordinate with other geological engineers in the project team and communicate relevant requirements to the  subcontractor.
• Attend relevant technical meetings when needed and provide professional opinions.
• Provide necessary English-Serbian translation for certain documents.

Qualification:

• Holding License 391 and License 491 Geotechnical studies registered in Serbia.
• Geotechnical studies registered
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in Geo-Investigation or Geo-Investigation management.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Geotechnical or Geological related majors are preferred.
• Experience in project coordination.
• Category B driver's license.
• Additional qualifications that will be considered as an advantage:
  
  • Fluency in English and Serbian;
  • Prior experience with European tunnel and railways projects;
  • Previous work experience in or collaboration with Chinese companies.
