Job Summary:

The Global Finance Assistant is an integral role within the finance team. This position is responsible for the AP process, employee expense reports and various monthly finance tasks. Additionally, they provide key support in AR & the monthly billing cycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Expense/Credit Cards Reports:
    • Review expense claims and ensure correct receipt has been uploaded
    • Check values have been assigned the correct general ledger code and project costed correctly
    • Check whether VAT has been applied correctly against the receipt (this will be the applicable rate depending on the region)
    • First approval of expense claims and subsequently posting to the accounting system after second approval
    • Ensure credit cards are posted in a timely manner
    • Reconcile month end expense reports
  • Accounts Payable Process:
    • Coding, batching and uploading invoices into the accounting system
    • Assure company processes and procurers are adhered to, including approvals and purchase orders.
    • Look for process improvement and efficiencies
  • Accounts Receivable Process & monthly billing cycle:
    • Assisting in monthly AR collections
    • Raising sales invoices according to draft mark-ups
  • General Duties:
    • Providing accounting backup support as required
    • Assist with month-end process

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with basic accounting principles and procedures
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role is required
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Full cycle accounting experience is an asset
