Our customer is the development project PERFORM which aims at strengthening the relevance of social science research with its contributions to policy making and reform processes in societies. PERFORM is a regional project, currently being implemented in Albania and Serbia.
National programme officer: Systems analysis, process faciltiation, capacity building
Job location: Belgrade
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain effective working relations and continous dialoque with all of the stakeholders of the project
- Support the development of new interventions in dialogue with partners
- Prepare detailed intervention plans/guides for specific intervention areas
- Take facilitating role in implementation of interventions
- Closely monitor effectiveness of interventions, making readjustment of programme interventions when needed
- Contribute to innovative approaches in specific intervention areas while following a systemic approach and the principles of ownership by national stakeholders
- Participate in monitoring of external environment and contribute to updating the country strategy
- Contribute to the preparation of high quality documentation, briefings, reports, operations plans and budgets
- Aquire knowledge and experience through training and knowledge sharing events, continuous research and networking
- Provide inputs for the website (briefs, reports, articles)
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in, Political Science, Social Science, Organizational and Institutional Development or related fields (PhD would be a plus)
- At least 2 years of work experience (preferably working in private and/or governmental sector, CSO-civil society organizations, academic field, international organization)
- Good understanding of systems analysis
- Experience in process facilitation
- Experience in project planning and reporting
- Experience in working in diverse teams
Competencies and skills:
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Language: Fluency in English both written and spoken required
- Ability to understand organizational systems and processes
- Excellent skills in process facilitation
- Strong intercultural competencies
- Results-oriented, highly motivated person
- Ability to work independently
- Good listening and communication skills (with sensitivity to cultural communication differences)
Conditions:
- Six months contract with possibility of extension
