Head Chef Chocolatier

For our client, an established and reputable candy manufacturer from Dubai, Techmedia HR is searching for energetic, proactive and motivated Head Chef Chocolatier to join their team.

Please note that this position requires relocation to Dubai for a minimum of 12 months.

JOB PURPOSE

This role participates in a wide range of activities to further push the boundaries of chocolate manufacturing. This role also contributes to growing the business and promoting brand awareness.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of creating, innovating, implementing, and communicating specific customer segment product development applications.
• Supervise and maintain a strong sense of teamwork among the chocolate making team.
• Organizing and educating production team members and ensure stock traceability and control for all necessary ingredients needed for the production cycle.
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new decorative designs and preparation techniques.
• Inspect the quality of the ingredients used or to be used.
• Work closely with the management to promote or launch any new chocolate or related product required for any season/ occasion or theme.
• Effectively interact with the experience center visitors to speak intelligently about companies’ chocolate making.
• Responsible for the chocolate line making on the chef’s table side, for the café menu constructing &/or during any event or assigned projects ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
• Coordinate and participate with other sections in regard to the management of cleanliness, hygiene, wastage and cost control.
• Attend daily meetings and operational meetings when needed.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent advanced certificate such as advanced culinary degree.
• 4-6 years’ experience in chocolates making.
• Leadership skills.
• Planning skills.
• Organization & interpersonal skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Should have a professional kitchen apprenticeship or artistic training course and previous experiences in quality establishments in a similar role.
• The ability to communicate well in English and a proven track of your creative talent and great spirit is an essential.
• Numerical Skills.

SALARY RANGE
