CWP Europe, a leading developer of renewable energy projects, is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Head of Accounting to join our Finance team in Belgrade, Serbia.

Your role
As Head of Accounting, you’ll lead our local accounting function, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. You’ll oversee reporting, support strategic decisions, and serve as the key point of contact for tax authorities and auditors.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee accounting for multiple legal entities in Serbia
- Lead and develop a Team of 3 accountants
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial documentation by reviewing the work done by the team and posting all relevant entries
- Prepare and file tax calculations and annual financial statements
- Prepare all relevant internal reporting within the agreed deadlines
- Coordinate audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Drive improvements in financial controls and reporting
- Deliver financial insights to support decision-making
What we’re looking for:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA will be considered an advantage
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management
- Strong knowledge of local accounting and tax laws, IFRS, and compliance
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Any prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be considered an advantage
- Analytical mindset with a high attention to detail
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Intermediate English language skills
