Head of Accounting

Requirements:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within production industry
• Previous team management experience
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, while previous experience in SAP would be highly appreciated
• Strong knowledge of IAS and IFRS and their application in work
• Knowledge of Serbian legislation in finance and taxation is prerequisite
• Fluency in English
• Analytical and systematic approach with problem solving skills
• Good communicator with advanced organizational and management skills

Main tasks:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. AR, AP, GL
• Control and follow up of AR and AP Ledger
• Control of trial balance and ensure timely closing of accounts
• Responsible for timely monthly and annual financial statements
• Responsible for tax reporting and communication with tax authorities
• Prepare and review VAT calculations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Working closely with auditors
• Review and control of payments and cash-flow
• Review and control of intercompany transactions
• Provide guidance and supervision to the accounting team, promoting professional growth and development
