As the Head of Accounting, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting processes and financial reporting in a fast-growing environment. Your role will be crucial in ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations, while leading and developing a team of accountants.
Location: Belgrade
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the complete accounting process, including the general ledger, accounts receivable, and VAT calculation
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with local and international accounting standards
- Conducting financial analyses and supporting management in making strategic decisions
- Coordinating and overseeing annual audits and external reviews
- Implementing and improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Leading and developing the accounting team (planning, task delegation, mentoring, performance evaluation)
- Collaborating with tax advisors, monitoring tax regulations to ensure optimal business operations, and preparing tax reports in accordance with legal requirements
- Participating in the development and enhancement of the ERP system and digital tools that support financial operations
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Professional certifications are an advantage (e.g., Certified Accountant, ACCA, CPA)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant Accounting experience
- Proven experience in team leadership
- Excellent knowledge of Legal and Tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
