DTV group is engaged on various R&D and customer projects related to Set-top Box (STB) and TV software, mainly focused around cutting edge technologies: UHD video resolution, adaptive streaming and advanced content security, advanced operator UI/UX applications and various additional applications such as YouTube and NetFlix. Latest technologies have been successfully deployed on both Linux and Android based platforms with millions of users worldwide.
Are you passionate about highly advanced Android development and have leadership experience? If yes, then this role might be just for you. We are looking for a diligent, proactive, team-oriented Java and Kotlin developer with engineering background to join our team.
Your role would include:
- Software development for Android based devices for projects such as Google Reference TV program or for 'state of the art' software for Japanese market
- Leading a group of application designers and Android system engineers
- Setting up the basic architecture and design of software solutions
- Project preparation activities (e.g. preparing project plan, including timelines, tasks, resources/budget and deliverables)
- Coordination, and organization of activities during the project implementation phase
- Ensuring timely project completion and delivery of project outcomes
- Task delegation and assignment to team members
- Taking care of employees’ engagement and development within the group
- Implementation of quality control measures throughout the project execution, and their regular monitoring
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Android application development
- Technical expertise with the domain - Jetpack, Java and Kotlin
- Knowledge of OOP and design patterns
- Lead role experience
- Strong management and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Decision making and ability to follow multilevel procedures
- University degree in computer technology or computer science
- Very good knowledge of English language
