HEAD OF INFRASTRUCTURE & TECHNICAL SUPPORT UNIT (M/F)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibility for leading a team in charge for a smooth operation of the Bank’s IT infrastructure.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Network Administration:
- Configuration and Setup: Setting up and configuring network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and ensuring proper network architecture.
- Monitoring: Continuously monitoring network performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting problems to maintain optimal performance and security.
- Security: Implementing and managing network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs to protect against unauthorized access and cyber threats.
Server Administration:
- Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring servers, ensuring they are set up correctly to handle applications and data storage needs.
- Maintenance: Performing regular updates, patches, and upgrades to server operating systems and applications to ensure stability and security.
- Backup and Recovery: Managing data backup processes and disaster recovery plans to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity.
IT Infrastructure Management:
- Capacity Planning: Analyzing current IT infrastructure capacity and planning for future needs based on growth and technological advancements.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Compliance: Ensuring IT practices and systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as data protection laws and industry-specific guidelines.
Continuous Improvement:
- Performance Optimization: Regularly reviewing and optimizing IT systems and infrastructure to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Innovation: Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices to recommend and implement improvements that can benefit the bank's IT environment.
REQUIRED PROFILE
- Min 5+ year of relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry
- Excellent managerial & communication skills
- Structured approach to diagnosing issues, developing and evaluating solutions, and implementing fixes
- Readiness for continuous learning
- Experience with large scale systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows server infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of VMware infrastructure
- Knowledge of Linux system is an advantage
- Understanding of TCP/IP and networking
- Shell and general scripting experience will be considered as an advantage
- Knowledge of monitoring systems, such is Nagios is an advantage
- Knowledge of Information Security principles and policies
- Documentation skills
- Fluent in English
