For our client, a regional leader in the field of renewable energy, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Trading to join their team in Belgrade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement trading strategies, processes, and tools to drive company success.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the electricity trading team, ensuring effective collaboration and professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international partners involved in electricity production and trading.
- Oversee the execution of short-term and medium-term trading strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities while optimizing the company’s energy portfolio.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, risks, and potential trading opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies related to electricity trading and risk management.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management and actively participate in strategy discussions.
- Collaborate closely with other departments and ensure smooth coordination of trading activities.
- Lead negotiations with external service providers and recommend adjustments to enhance business relations.
- Manage administrative tasks related to the trading process, including preparing necessary documentation and monitoring customer limits.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Technical, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience, ideally in a similar trading environment.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and commercial skills.
- Knowledge of electricity trading characteristics and market specifics.
- Advanced data analysis skills and familiarity with relevant software.
- Fluency in both Serbian and English.
- Energy trading license (preferred but not mandatory).
- A proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, and reliability.
