Investment Analyst (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting on- and off-site due diligence processes for debt investments in financial institutions (banks, leasing companies, microfinance institutions, etc.), including the organization of due diligences and writing of investment proposals
• Monitoring of existing debt investments, based on financial reports and client visits.
• Monitoring/analyzing key economic and financial sector trends, including regulatory and supervisory policies.
• Supporting internal and external reporting regarding investments, fund performance and countries of operations

• Identifying technical assistance needs of financial institutions or market participants in the area of Micro/SME as well as energy efficiency/renewable energy finance.

• Promoting responsible finance through dialogue with respective stakeholders, investment structuring, workshops, and initiatives

What we expect:

• University degree, or equivalent, preferably in economics, finance, or business
• Relevant professional experience in banking or financial institutions
• Strong analytical skills and good attention to details
• Ability to read and understand financial statements/ratios and analyze trends/developments.
• Demonstrated skills in analyzing financial institutions and banks.
• Excellent knowledge of the financial sector as well as the operating environment in Serbia and other Western Balkans countries
• Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills in both English and Serbian
• Strong analytical skills, excellent command of excel.
• Knowledge of development finance, including Micro/SME finance and/or EE/RE finance would be an advantage.
• Strong team player, open and engaging communication style, and strong inter-personal skills
• Willingness to travel to other countries of operations.
