Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented KYC Officer to join our Compliance Department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the processes related to client onboarding, review and exit, ensuring compliance with both international AML regulations and banking laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence on new clients by requesting, reviewing, and verifying KYC information and documentation.
- Perform analytical risk assessments for new clients and maintain thorough documentation of research and analysis related to client financial activities, ensuring clarity for management, regulators, and internal stakeholders.
- Periodically evaluate and review existing client records to ensure compliance with established policies, ensuring that due diligence standards are met, and records are up to date.
- Investigate high-risk clients and ensure all necessary documentation is collected and recorded.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to obtain necessary KYC documentation.
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' businesses and related entities to monitor and identify any unusual behaviour.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related disciplines are an advantage.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry, with demonstrable experience in KYC processes.
- Any International or domestic AML certification is considered as advantage.
- Knowledge:
- Good understanding of AML and CTF frameworks.
- Familiarity with the processes and procedures required to verify customer identities, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).

- Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing documents, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex compliance requirements clearly to customers and internal teams.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to evaluate complex scenarios and make informed decisions regarding customer risk.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with other departments.
